NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Rivergate Skate Center has been rolling out fun for families across the area for nearly 50 years. Just off Gallatin Pike in Madison, the rink opened in 1978 and has been hosting family nights, skate parties and fundraisers ever since. “When [people] come in, they say this is their therapy,” rink owner Jason Cockerham said. He has been working in local rinks for decades, starting out at Rivergate Skate Center’s sister rink in Brentwood in 1989.
