GCSO: Vehicle reported stolen from McCracken recovered in Mayfield

MAYFIELD, Ky. — Graves County sheriff's deputies recovered a vehicle Thursday morning on Herman Road in the eastern part of the county that was reported stolen overnight from McCracken County. According to a news release signed by Graves County Sheriff Jon Hayden, the vehicle, a Chevrolet pickup truck, was reported to McCracken County Sheriff's Office as stolen from a location on Paducah's southside.

MAYFIELD, Ky. — The Graves County Sheriff's Office has made several recent arrests related to methamphetamine trafficking investigations in and around Mayfield and Graves County, the agency announced Wednesday. One person is still being sought. "It takes proactive steps by our detectives to investigate these tips, and to be able to substantiate allegations of drug trafficking," the sheriff's office wrote in a Wednesday social media post.

Trigg coroner: Man dies in Wednesday drowning incident at LBL

CADIZ, Ky. — A 74-year-old man has died in a Wednesday drowning incident in the Sugar Bay area of Land Between the Lakes, the Trigg County Coroner's Office announced Thursday. According to Coroner John Mark Vinson, the office was dispatched June 10 to the area at LBL in Cadiz to investigate a death "associated with a drowning accident." The deceased was identified as Durrett Michael Bennet, 74, who was pronounced deceased at the scene, according to the coroner's office.
