GRAND RAPIDS, MI – Three Democrats will face off in the Tuesday, Aug. 4 primary election for a chance to represent Michigan’s 29th District state Senate seat. The winner of the Democratic primary race will go on to face Republican Brady Middleton, who is running unopposed in his party, in the Nov. 3 general election for the 29th District seat. The three candidates running in the Democratic primary are Ivan Diaz, Abbie Groff-Blaszak and Phil Skaggs.
