Evaluation of primate anti-pig xenoreactive immune responses using immortalized aortic endothelial cells from genetically modified pigs
Abstract Porcine vascular endothelial cells are primary targets of humoral and cellular immune responses in pig-to-primate organ xenotransplantation. Although porcine aortic endothelial cells (PAECs) are widely used to evaluate primate anti-pig immune responses, their limited proliferative capacity poses a significant obstacle to repeated and standardized experimentation.
Response of Paddy Rice Ecosystems to Drought with Solar-Induced Chlorophyll Fluorescence over the Jianghan Plain, China During 2000–2021
You are already at the latest version Frequent droughts have severely undermined agricultural productivity. Using the standardized precipitation evapotranspiration index (SPEI), we identified that drought events predominantly occurred from July to September during 2000–2021 in Jianghan Plain, southern China.
The relationship between cyber victimization and suicide attempts of college students: the role of social rejection and family resilience
Abstract Cyber victimization has become a critical public health issue among college students, strongly linked to suicidal ideation and behavior. However, the specific ways it contributes to suicide attempts—particularly in college student populations—remain under-researched. To clarify the relationship between cyber victimization and suicide attempts.
Red blood cell distribution width and 28 days mortality in sepsis-associated delirium: a multicenter study and machine learning analyses
Abstract The specific prognostic relevance of red blood cell distribution width (RDW) regarding sepsis-associated delirium (SAD) remains poorly understood. Data were retrieved from the MIMIC-IV and eICU-CRD registries. Kaplan–Meier curves, multivariable Cox regression, restricted cubic splines (RCS), and competing-risk models evaluated the association between RDW and 28 days mortality. Machine-learning models were developed using Boruta- and LASSO-selected predictors and externally validated.

Exploring cyberbullying and cybervictimization among sports fans on Sina Weibo: the roles of personality traits and fan identity
Abstract Cyberbullying and cybervictimization have become widespread phenomena on social media platforms, particularly in emotionally charged environments such as sports fandom. While prior research has emphasized the role of individual personality traits, the influence of social identification—specifically, fan identity—on these behaviors remains underexplored, especially within Chinese digital communities, such as Sina Weibo.

The inflammation-fibrosis combined index as a predictor of prognosis in stroke patients undergoing mechanical thrombectomy
Abstract Background and purpose: This study evaluates the novel Inflammation-Fibrosis Combined Index (IFCI) for predicting 90-day functional outcomes post-MT. Methods: We conducted a retrospective analysis of 548 consecutive acute ischemic stroke patients treated with MT. The IFCI was derived from the combination of the Fibrosis-4 (FIB-4) index and the systemic immune-inflammation index (SII). The primary outcome was an unfavorable functional outcome (modified Rankin Scale score 3–6) at 90 days.
Carbon-supported uniform RuAgW nanoparticles with high activity and CO resistance toward alkaline hydrogen oxidation
Carbon-supported uniform RuAgW nanoparticles with high activity and CO resistance toward alkaline hydrogen oxidation† RuAgW/C demonstrates an excellent mass specific exchange current density (j0,m) of 442.9 A gRu−1 superior to that of Pt/C (329.7 A gPt−1) toward the alkaline hydrogen oxidation reaction (HOR) primarily owing to weakened hydrogen binding energy (HBE) and strengthened hydroxide binding energy (OHBE). Cyclin E1 overexpression triggers interferon signaling and is associated with antitumor immunity in breast cancer
Discussion In this study, we explored the relation of cyclin E1 expression with immune infiltrates in the TME and the association between cyclin E1 expression levels and response to immunotherapy in patients with breast cancer. We found that increased cyclin E1 expression was positively correlated with immune cell infiltration, immunotherapy biomarkers, and better response to immunotherapy in patients with breast cancer.
Deep lead optimization enveloped in protein pocket and its application in designing potent and selective ligands targeting LTK protein - Nature Machine Intelligence
Abstract Optimizing the chemical structure of promising drug candidates through systematic modifications to improve potency and physiochemical properties is a vital step in the drug discovery pipeline. In contrast to the well-established de novo generation schemes, computational methods specifically tailored for lead optimization remain largely underexplored.
ZUGC-RNA degradation generates immunosuppressor to evade immune responses in eukaryotes
Abstract Among the hundreds of modified nucleosides identified in terrestrial life, 2-amino-6-aminopurine (Z) is widely recognized as a prominent modified purine. Recently, RNA written with the ZUGC alphabet shows significant potential in RNA therapeutics as a synthetic biosystem. Here, we demonstrate that ZUGC-RNA can evade immune recognition in eukaryotes, in-dependent of factors such as RNA length, sequence, 5'-triphosphate, modified uridine, and secondary structure.

Single-cell transcriptomics reveals aberrant skin-resident cell populations and identifies fibroblasts as a determinant in rosacea - Nature Communications
Abstract Rosacea is a chronic inflammatory skin disorder, whose underlying cellular and molecular mechanisms remain obscure. Here, we generate a single-cell atlas of facial skin from female rosacea patients and healthy individuals. Among keratinocytes, a subpopulation characterized by IFNγ-mediated barrier function damage is found to be unique to rosacea lesions. Blocking IFNγ signaling alleviates rosacea-like phenotypes and skin barrier damage in mice.

Single-cell transcriptomics reveals cellular hierarchies and aberrant CTS contraction-mediated premature hair regression in androgenetic alopecia
Abstract Androgenetic alopecia (AGA) is characterized by progressive miniaturization of hair, forming a distinctive patterned baldness in the scalp; yet, the mechanisms for hair miniaturization in this disease remain largely unknown. Here by single-cell transcriptome analysis, we describe a concise single-cell atlas, and identify the early changes in cell subpopulations, hair follicle (HF) stem cell fate determination and cell-cell communications in AGA anagen HF units.
