A Decision Tree Model for Predicting Cassava Mealiness: Fusing Cell Wall Composition and Microstructure
Submitted: 23 January 2026 You are already at the latest version Decision tree analysis indicated that cellulose content and dry matter content are the primary and secondary factors influencing mealiness, respectively. When cellulose content was ≤31.486 mg/g and dry matter content exceeded 34.965%, the probability of the roots being mealy reached 96%. Independent validation using randomly selected cassava germplasm accessions yielded a model prediction accuracy of 70%.
