I had no idea as to what his actual name was but the fellow behind the bar of Taberna la Dolores, with his sharpened features, embellished by a lack of enthusiasm, was, to me, a ‘Jaime’. Honestly, there’s a very good chance he was a Jesús, but that felt a little on-the-nose given that La Dolores sits on a Plaza de Jesús; a square in name only as it’s merely a somewhat broader street in the Barrio de las Letras of Madrid’s Centro district.
