AI as a gamechanger Data Center Dynamics recently hosted a conversation featuring David Power, CTO at Nscale, Chadie Ghadie, global lead of advanced infrastructure solutions at Lenovo, and me, head of the data center networking business at Nokia. As with most conversations these days, we started by discussing artificial intelligence (AI) and its disruptive effects across the data center industry.

Our industry is in the throes of one of the most dynamic investment cycles in all of recorded history, and there is an awful lot of noise. That noise can make it nearly impossible to discern fact from fiction and theory from practice. Understanding the practice lets us get things done.

One of the few things more complex than a cloud network is an enterprise network. The diversity of applications and the burden of legacy technology place ridiculous requirements on enterprise networks, and the price of those requirements is paid with the individual efforts required to keep things up and running. What’s more complex than an enterprise network? A higher education network.
