Famed golf venue The Old Course in the UK town of St. Andrews is in for some new tech after Cisco was made an official network supplier by the sport’s governing body, the R&A. Cisco stated it would provide routing, switching and wireless technology along with network security products for future golf championships and in a new R&A headquarters being built in the town. The R&A wants the connectivity for services including scoring, and management of broadcast, media and facilities.
