How is social media changing news?
Social media is making the news cycle so fast, it's become so much more about being first to the story, and if you're slow you're finished.
How do you prefer to be pitched on stories?
You can call me 'Professor Tech', that's what the kids call me! But you don't have to. :)
What tools and software do you use to do your job?
I'm old style, Microsoft Word or even Notepad work for me. As long as I can type into it, I'm happy.
What's your favorite drink?
I'm a big fan of spirits and mixers, so Jim Beam and Coke, or Jack Daniels and Coke resonate with me. Loving the recent push to fireball!
What's the most common misperception about your beat?
Young kids are all experts in technology, which is a little true, but they also need a lot of guidance on how to use it effectively.
