WATCH ABOVE: Queensland’s mining communities flooded.

WATCH THE VIDEO ABOVE: Terrifying footage of youths attempting robbery.

Lausanne Forum
Many of the Lausanne delegates wanted to share their thoughts about the fourth Lausanne Congress, the Seoul Statement, and the future of the mission. As such, Ed Stetzer—who serves as editor of Outreach Magazine, a sister site to ChurchLeaders.com—created this portal to share articles from delegates to the congress. You can find Ed’s four-part series requested before the congress by Korean church leaders here. His two articles during the congress are here and here.
Media still locked out after Queensland Government passes legislation allowing victims, families and media into Children’s Court Original
7NEWS journalists have been denied access to certain Children’s Court proceedings only days after the Queensland Government officially passed laws opening it up to victims and accredited media organisations. The Miles Labor Government passed the new legislation, which went into effect on August 30, as part of a promise made by the premier earlier in the year. WATCH THE VIDEO ABOVE: First look inside Children’s Court since major law change.
History shows why we must support Ukraine Original
A campaign plan to put AI regulation in the political zeitgeist I’m a doctor: Once a patient is ‘sick enough’ for abortion, it’s often too late I recently had the honor of partaking in a humanitarian mission to Ukraine organized by the Polish Solidarity trade union. As the Senate Steering Committee’s general counsel, my history with Solidarity dates back to the Cold War era, when Poland became the initial domino leading to the downfall of communism in Eastern Europe in 1989.
Op-Ed: An Open Letter to Anti-Gun Senate Republicans
Dear Anti-Gun Senate Republican, Welcome to the permanent minority. It takes one clueless hombre to destroy your political base at the invitation of your political opposition, but you have proven you are up to the challenge. Here in New Hampshire, we face the decision of whether to crawl over glass to oust Democratic Sen. Maggie Hassan — or to throw the election to Hassan, as gun owners did in 2016.
Don't Let Elon Musk Grab Your Guns
Some conservatives have overestimated SpaceX and Tesla CEO Elon Musk’s value for promising to bring free speech back to Twitter. He’s far from their friend or ally. First, he took billions worth of government subsidies, supported disastrous climate change policies, and began funding out-of-state abortion funding through Tesla..

The fight for freedom didn't die when the Berlin Wall fell
ANALYSIS/OPINION: In spring, 1987, two representatives of the Polish Solidarity trade movement, Jerzy Malewski and Liz Wasiutynski came into Paul Weyrich’s Stanton Meeting to ask conservatives for moral and financial support. I was tasked to raise money to help rebuild Solidarity. Which we did. And, from that, a continuing alliance between anti-Communist dissidents in Eastern Europe and Movement Conservatives flowered.
Democrats Should Beware What They Wish For on the Filibuster
The opinions expressed by columnists are their own and do not necessarily represent the views of Townhall.com. The late Senator Eugene McCarthy is reported to have discouraged freshman legislators from learning the rules. "The House rules are impossible to understand," he is said to have advised.
Trump's bad polls? Before you panic, dig into the details
After many declarations that President Trump was vanquished on the basis of an NBC/Wall Street Journal poll showing him 14 points behind, it turns out that the poll was totally bogus. Four years ago, in October 2016, an AP-GfK poll also showed that Trump had fallen 14 points behind Hillary Clinton right after their final debate — 12 days before the election. We all know how that turned out.
The False Joe Biden Narrative Peddled at the Democratic National Convention
The opinions expressed by columnists are their own and do not necessarily represent the views of Townhall.com. We may never know the Biden/Harris presidential agenda.
The Polls Put Democrats in a Trap of Their Own Making
Remember the heady days of June 2016, when Hillary Clinton led Donald Trump in every one of twelve major polls — by a margin of 10 points, according to ABC and the Washington Post? Or August 2016, after the Khan imbroglio, when Clinton was beating Trump by 7 points, according to USA Today/Suffolk? It was hardly an outlier. Or October 2016, after the exposition of the "Billy Bush tapes," when, coming up on the election, Clinton was beating Trump in virtually every poll?
Gun regulators have admitted to violating the Second Amendment
On Dec. 11, Gun Owners of America argued before the 6th Circuit Court of Appeals that the government’s recently enacted ban on bump stocks is illegal. The organization's argument is by no means controversial. The government bureau that made them illegal, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives, even admitted in a court filing that it lacks authority under the Gun Control Act and National Firearms Act to issue the rule.
Communicate Persuasively To Win The Deal
FacebookTwitterEmailLinkedIn In the article “The 6 Best Techniques for Communicating Clearly and Persuasively, According to a Speechwriter for Top CEOs” by Scott Mautz, he says, “There’s no one in business who can’t benefit from being skilled at communicating clearly, crisply, and in a compelling fashion. Whether you’re giving a keynote to 9,000 people or presenting a recommendation to nine people, communication skills count.” And as we all know, relationships matter in the mortgage industry.
Privileged Billionaires Are Gunning For Your Second Amendment Rights
The opinions expressed by columnists are their own and do not represent the views of Townhall.com. Once again, as a result of multiple copycat shootings generated by press coverage, the battle is on to suspend various provisions of the Bill of Rights. At their core, “Red Flag Laws” would allow an angry relative to suspend a gun owner's Second, Fourth, Fifth, and Fourteenth Amendment rights.
PRATT, HAMMOND: Republican Anti-Gunners Are Repeating Bush’s ‘Read My Lips’ Mistake
August 12, 2019 2:00 PM ET In 1990, President George H.W. Bush committed one of the greatest betrayals in modern political history. He backtracked on his “Read my lips, no new taxes” pledge, and he got hammered in the next election for his betrayal. He lost. Rush Limbaugh has warned that Republicans are making the same “Read my lips” mistake by pursuing a gun control compromise with Democrats.
PRATT, HAMMOND: The Facts Are In, And Doctors Are More Likely To Kill You Than A Gun

PRATT, HAMMOND: The Facts Are In, And Doctors Are More Likely To Kill You Than A Gun
July 19, 2019 11:00 AM ET Over the years, we have become used to seeing “junk science” flowing out of the billionaire-funded anti-gun lobby. And most of it reaches the same repetitive conclusions — based on repeating the same intellectual fallacy. The fallacy is that gun control makes people safer, but the easy availability of firearms endangers the public. Just this week, we saw yet another example of this fraud — this time from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP).
HAMMOND: The Trump Administration Is Becoming Strangely Anti-Gun
11:00 AM 06/13/2019 | Opinion Michael Hammond | Gun Owners of America President Trump stands to lose voters in 2020 if his administration undermines the Second Amendment. Unfortunately, that’s exactly what’s happening. Consider the events of the last several weeks. First, Attorney General William Barr announced the creation of a working group to consider ways to enforce the Lautenberg misdemeanor gun ban. This 1996 ex post facto law was a major victory for gun control groups.
HAMMOND: The Violence Against Women Act Is A Threat To Gun-Owning Women
11:30 AM 05/06/2019 | Opinion Michael Hammond | Gun Owners of America House Democrats, led by Nancy Pelosi, are trying to push Republicans into a corner. They have taken a catchy program that was originally created by Joe Biden and have added a liberal wish-list of provision to its reauthorization. And they are daring Republicans to vote against it. Welcome to the 116th Congress! The program is the “Violence Against Women” reauthorization. Arizona Republican Rep.
HAMMOND: The Path To The Presidency Runs Through the Second Amendment
2:00 PM 04/17/2019 | Opinion Michael Hammond | Gun Owners of America In the law, there’s an exception to the “hearsay rule” for an “admission against interest.” Hence, even a party you might treat with skepticism can be believed when he says something that demolishes his argument.
Senate Considering Blowing Up the Remainder of Its Rules
The opinions expressed by columnists are their own and do not represent the views of Townhall.com. I've been around the legislative process for 44 years. And if you think the socialist ideas flowing through the little head of Bronx Congresswoman AOC are new, I can assure you they're not. Socialism and Third-World-level repression have been on the verge of enactment since I came to the Senate staff in 1975.
HAMMOND: Lindsey Graham Holds Another Senate Hearing For Gun Confiscation
10:00 AM 04/02/2019 | Opinion Michael Hammond | Gun Owners of America You would have thought, from the press coverage, that gun confiscation/red flag legislation took a big step forward in last week’s Senate Judiciary Committee hearings. Instead, the opposite is probably the case.
OPINION: Lindsey Graham Is Aiming To Turn The GOP Into The Party Of Gun Control
10:00 AM 03/13/2019 | Opinion Michael Hammond | Gun Owners of America Just when Democrats are threatening to “crazy” themselves off the political spectrum, South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham arrived with the year’s nuttiest idea: To make the GOP the party of gun confiscation and, in the process, jettison the Second Amendment movement from the Republican coalition.
OPINION: Bill Barr Needs To Answer For His Role In Ruby Ridge
1:28 PM 01/26/2019 | Opinion Michael Hammond | Gun Owners of America The Second Amendment community has tried very hard to get members of the Judiciary Committee to persuade attorney general nominee William Barr to renounce his long-standing support for gun control. Opposing his nomination is not a position we relish. But if members of the Senate choose to ignore his record on guns, they should not ignore his role in the Ruby Ridge scandal. Consider these facts.
The Gun Lobby: Reports of Our Demise Are Greatly Exaggerated
The opinions expressed by columnists are their own and do not represent the views of Townhall.com. Bloomberg, Oprah, & co. had the destruction of the Second Amendment all planned out. First, they would bring a bunch of kids out to a billionaire-financed free rock concert in Washington on a warm spring day.
OPINION: Trump Administration’s Bump Stock Ban Would Be Illegal And Unacceptable
3:30 PM 12/15/2018 | Opinion Michael Hammond | General Counsel, Gun Owners of America I was an Army intelligence officer and reservist during the Vietnam War era. I was a year too young to be shipped abroad, but I still have tinnitus from firing a machine gun — which, I can attest, is not easy to fire with any accuracy. After all, I was issued a fully-automatic M-16 and qualified using it.
No Blue Wave (Unless the GOP Capitulates)
The opinions expressed by columnists are their own and do not represent the views of Townhall.com. Year after year, Democrats run the same election strategy. It starts with the phony polls intended to demoralize the Republican base. Sometimes it works and the GOP destroys its own candidates (as with Todd Akin, Roy Moore, etc.). Media predictions become self-fulfilling. But when Republicans don’t give up, as in 2016, the dishonesty of the polling ultimately becomes apparent.
2019 Student Case Competition: Angie’s Empanadas
Soon after Angie Keller graduated college, she began talking with her family and best friends to help figure out her career options. She had just delighted a large group of people with her delicious Peruvian cuisine at her graduation party, so her first thought was to open a Peruvian restaurant. As a nontraditional graduate of her university’s hotel and restaurant administration program, she was aware of the challenges of running a restaurant, including the long hours and high failure rate.
Michael Hammond: Trump Bump Stock Regulation Could Ban Millions of Semi-Automatic Rifles
Inevitably, there comes a time when every president is driven by an anti-gun media to lash out at the Second Amendment. And guess what? The path of least resistance is almost always to take a poorly drafted statute or regulation which is already on the books and stretch it to do what they want it to do.
Congressional Republicans Eagerly Dig Their Own Grave
There's a not-so-old saying: "Give a man a piranha, and you get a fingerless man and a happy piranha. Teach a man to swim in the Amazon, and you get a whole happy school of piranhas." The Senate Democratic piranhas are working to tear apart everything that Republicans care about, while the GOP seems determined to help them avoid losses in the 2018 Senate elections.
If Republicans Care About The Constitution, They Will Preserve The Senate’s Role Via @dailycaller
I never thought I would utter these words, but here they are: Mitch McConnell is absolutely right. And his efforts to preserve the Senate’s constitutional role — in the face of know-nothing schemes to achieve short-term gains — are heroic. In August, I predicted that Donald Trump would lose the popular vote, but win the election. In 2005, when Republicans toyed with the “nuclear option,” I predicted that they would lose the Senate — which they did, the next year.
GOP Senators: Don’t Put A Cocked Gun To Your Own Head Via @dailycaller
On the morning of November 8, Democrats were preparing to blow up the Senate rules to seize control of the national agenda and of the Supreme Court. Harry Reid was promising to destroy the Senate rules “in a heartbeat” — egged on by a press that convinced him that Democrats would never again lose control of the Senate or the Oval Office.
