Primary Elections and Mail Voting
1 Introduction What if no election really mattered in the United States, except for primary elections? As ludicrous as this may sound, for many Americans, this rings nearly true. In fact, according to Drutman (2021, 21–22), “in roughly five out of six [House of Representatives] districts, the general election is a foregone conclusion.

Integrated combinatorial functional genomics and spatial transcriptomics of tumors decodes genotype to phenotype relationships
Abstract Linking the complex genetic changes underlying cancer to relevant diseasephenotypes poses a challenge. Therefore, we present CHOCOLAT-G2P, a scalable approach that integrates multiplex in vivo functional genomics with spatial transcriptomics. By redeploying RNA-templated ligation probes of commercial spatial transcriptomics technology, we streamline mapping composite genetic alterations and transcriptome-wide phenotyping on the same tissue section on a single readout platform.

Transient IR Spectroscopy of Optically Centrifuged CO2 (R186−R282) and Collision Dynamics for the J=244−282 States Collisions of optically centrifuged CO2 molecules with J=244-282 (Erot =22,800-30,300 cm-1) are investigated with high-resolution transient IR absorption spectroscopy to reveal collisional and orientational phenomena of molecules with hyper-thermal rotational energies.
CD81 represses NF-?B in HCV-expressing hepatoma cells
Abstract The tetraspanin CD81 is one of the main entry receptors for Hepatitis C virus, which is a major causative agent to develop liver cirrhosis and hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Here, we identify CD81 as one of few surface proteins that are downregulated in HCV expressing hepatoma cells, discovering a functional role of CD81 beyond mediating HCV entry. CD81 was downregulated at the mRNA level in hepatoma cells that replicate HCV.

Piracy in the Gulf of Guinea - New Legislation in Nigeria
New Terrorism Prevention Act in Nigeria The scourge of piracy in the Gulf of Guinea (GoG) and along the West African coastline is well known. Until last week, pirates who kidnapped vessels and crew for ransom would likely have been charged with terrorism offences by the Nigerian authorities. A new law, which came into force on 12 May 2022, may change the Nigerian government's approach.

Each week, The Spokesman-Review examines one question from the Naturalization Test immigrants must pass to become United States citizens. But civic participation is more than just submitting a ballot.
Ensuring Continuous PNT Services
All sectors of the economy are impacted by GPS/GNSS vulnerability. However, the impact is different in each sector. RF interference could have tremendous impact across different sectors, including offshore oil and gas, agriculture, automotive, construction, mining, or even within the consumer market. At this time, however, users do not seem to be fully aware of the risks. To illustrate the attitudes around GNSS vulnerabilities across several sectors, I would like to make an analogy.
Supreme Court blunts voting rights in Arizona - and potentially nationwide - in controversial ruling
Arizona may keep two voting laws that Republicans say protect election integrity and Democrats believe will make it harder for some residents to cast ballots. That’s the United States Supreme Court’s decision in Brnovich v. Democratic National Committee, one of the decade’s most important voting rights cases. One Arizona law challenged in the case, H.B. 2023, makes it a felony for anyone other than a family member, caregiver or postal worker to collect and deliver ballots.
