ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. (First Alert 4) - An investigation is underway after officers called to a “sick case” found a man shot in North St. Louis County, who later died from his injuries. According to the St. Louis County Police Department, officers were called to the 2100 block of Empire Court at around 7:50 p.m. on Saturday for a report of a “sick case.” When officers arrived, they found Darren Henderson, 43, of the 2100 block of Empire Court in St. Louis, with gunshot wounds.

ST. CLAIR, Ill. (First Alert 4) - One person died, and several others were injured following a four-vehicle crash south of Freeburg on Sunday. The crash occurred at 6:40 p.m. on Illinois Route 13 south of Red Ray Mine Road, according to Illinois State Police. Emergency responders declared one person at the scene dead. Five other people were injured and were taken to the hospital.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (KCTV/Gray News) - A former University of Kansas basketball player has been charged with attempted first-degree murder. According to court records, 29-year-old Lagerald Vick allegedly shot a man during an argument at a Fourth of July party. Vick allegedly approached the victim at the party and the two started arguing. The victim told investigators that Vick had a handgun tucked under his armpit.
