Gerald “Jerry” J. Keller, a longtime Toledo firefighter and building contractor, died June 19 at his Toledo home. He was 90. He died of apparent heart failure following a hip replacement surgery, his stepdaughter, Rebecca Castellano, said. “He worked all the time, but he was always there for the family,” said his wife of nearly 57 years, Barbara Keller. “And he was very serious about everything he did.” Mr. Keller retired as a firefighter in 1990 after 25 years with the Toledo Fire Department.
