Another coastal storm will bring a stretch of unsettled weather to Maine Wednesday night into Thursday
PORTLAND, Maine — A nor'easter is forecast to impact Maine in the middle of the week. A progressive weather pattern will favor two areas of low pressure. One will be tracking over the Great Lakes, with a second low off of the mid-Atlantic coastline.

Upslope snow showers are a weather phenomenon that occur in our mountains frequently over the winter months. We can also see upslope enhance of rain during the year, but the focus of this article is on upslope snow in the winter months. Behind cold fronts, we often see wind coming out of the northwest. These winds line up perpendicular to the Allegheny front. The result is air getting forced up the mountains. As the air rises, it expands. This causes it to cool down.
