SEARCY, Ark. — After more than four decades of service, a familiar face in Searcy is closing the chapter on a career defined by hard work, loyalty, and friendship. James Wesley Haney, 74, owner and manager of Haney’s Conoco, is retiring after 42 years of serving the community. In recognition of his impact, April 30 has officially been declared “Mr. Haney Day” in Searcy. Haney began his journey at the station in 1984, when his father purchased the business and the family relocated from Carlisle.
