Author Correction: Uncovering the role of LINE-1 in the evolution of lung adenocarcinoma
|
Correction to: Nature https://doi.org/10.1038/s41586-025-09825-y Published online 10 December 2025 It has been drawn to our attention that some statements in the initially published version of this article could be interpreted as supporting a direct mechanistic role for ZNF695 in L1 regulation. As there was no experimental evidence for such a role, the article has been corrected.

Influence of psychosocial characteristics of patients and opinions of their relatives on indication for surgical treatment of pectus excavatum
Introduction Self-image as well as care for one's health and expectations of that health that might improve after treatment are very important moments for every patient in contact with the physician. At the same time, these phenomena should play a significant role when it comes to setting and evaluating indications for surgical treatment in particular at pectus excavatum (PE) chest wall type of deformities.
Ordering in Event-Sourced Systems
In a utopian world, Event Store will write events to the disk in the same order they have happened in real life. However, computers are not so good at observing things by themselves (yet); we (still) must tell them what to do. Hence, we must provide a way to deterministically order events inside the Event Store. A naive approach would be to attach a timestamp to each and every event and use it for ordering.
Do We Need Event Sourcing?
Before we start, I would definitely recommend getting familiar with the definition and benefits of Event Sourcing. Sara did an amazing job in explaining what Event Sourcing is in more detail and comparisons. Let's briefly touch upon some Event Sourcing aspects that are going to be important for this article. In order to validate a business rule and/or make any decision in our software, we need to create a model representation of our domain.

Demystifying Tracking Event Processors in Axon Framework
Axon is a popular framework for writing Java applications following DDD, event sourcing, and CQRS principles. While especially useful in a microservices context, Axon provides great value in building structured monoliths that can be broken down into microservices when needed. A good place to see how is in this webinar. An important ingredient in the Axon Framework is the explicit use of messages. One of the types of messages is events.
Building Reactive Systems With Axon Framework
In today’s software world, everything’s changed when it comes to operational (non-functional) requirements. We have applications running on thousands of cores, producing petabytes of data, and, of course, users expect to have a response time under 100ms. Several years ago, we used to build systems that blocked certain operations because programming models used back then didn’t allow many asynchronous things to happen in code.
Completion pneumonectomy for lung cancer relapse after surgery- What is a real benefit?
AbstractObjective: Surgery for postoperative locoregional recurrence is possible in up to 4% of patients. However, the patient selection remains a major challenge. Methods: retrospective study including patients with completion pneumonectomy after previous lung resection with curative intent in a recent 10-years period. Results: in the analysed period, 19patients underwent a completion pneumonectomy 13 right-sided, 6 left-sided, 6-60 months after previous operation.
