A century of Chinese physiology: The Chinese Association for Physiological Sciences as scientific infrastructure and a bridge to the world
Centenaries invite celebration, but their greater value is analytical. The history of a scientific society reveals how a discipline becomes organized: how researchers find one another, how standards are established, how young scientists are trained, how journals and meetings give coherence to dispersed work and how local research cultures enter global conversations.
Achieving Near 21% Efficiency Organic Solar Cells through Controlled Packing of Fused-Ring Electron Acceptors
Abstract Non-radiative energy loss remains a challenge in organic solar cells.
Functional deficiency of circadian regulator PER2 enhances breast cancer susceptibility and progression with immunosuppression
Abstract Circadian rhythm (CR) governs systemic and tissue physiological homeostasis by regulating sleep-wake cycles, hormone secretion, and metabolism. CR disruption (CRD), such as shift work, has been associated with increased cancer risk, particularly female breast cancer (BC), yet the mechanisms underlying breast tumorigenesis and immunosuppression resulting from a specific clock gene dysfunction remain unclear.
Computer Science > Computation and Language
Chain-of-thought (CoT) supervision exposes intermediate rationales, but flat rationale targets usually optimize a single reasoning sequence and provide limited supervision on how local conclusions should support later decisions. We introduce Dependency-Aware Intermediate QA Supervision (DAIS), a training-time framework that converts filtered teacher rationales into stage-level QA records.
The role of Epstein-Barr virus in NK/T cell lymphoproliferative disorders: molecular mechanisms and potential therapeutic strategies
Abstract Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) is a widely prevalent lymphotropic γ-herpesvirus, with approximately 95% of the population showing evidence of infection at some point during their lifetime.
Characteristics of dermal fibroblasts and their biotherapeutic value in musculoskeletal system diseases
Abstract As the principal functional cells in the dermal layer of the skin, dermal fibroblasts can not only synthesize and remodel extracellular matrix components such as collagen and elastin, but also secrete a variety of growth factors and exert immunomodulatory functions. They play a pivotal role in maintaining skin structural homeostasis and wound repair, and their unique biological properties also make them a key subject of research in regenerative medicine.
Spatial modeling of tissue compartments predicts breast cancer treatment response
HER2-positive breast cancer accounts for about 20% of breast cancer cases and is generally associated with more aggressive behavior and a higher risk of distant metastasis, while pathologic complete response (pCR) after neoadjuvant chemotherapy is strongly linked to better survival outcomes. As a result, accurately predicting treatment response before therapy remains an important clinical challenge.
Dose optimization of sacubitril/valsartan in Chinese chronic heart failure patients: integration of physiologically based pharmacokinetic modeling and real-world data
Abstract Objective: In routine clinical practice, many patients with chronic heart failure (CHF) treated with sacubitril/valsartan do not achieve the guideline-recommended target dose of 200 mg twice daily (BID), largely because of tolerability concerns.
Piperacillin–tazobactam-associated thrombocytopenia with negative antiplatelet antibody testing: a case report and literature review
Abstract Background: Piperacillin–tazobactam is a widely used antibiotic. Although rare, thrombocytopenia related to piperacillin–tazobactam can be clinically significant. Drug-induced immune thrombocytopenia (DIIT) is difficult to distinguish from thrombocytopenia related to critical illness, infection, disseminated intravascular coagulation (DIC), or heparin-induced thrombocytopenia (HIT).

Rapid Genetic Stabilisation of Transgenic and Edited Wheat Through Transformation of Immature Haploid Embryos
1 Introduction Wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) is one of the world's most important staple crops, providing food for nearly one-third of the global population. The United Nations projects that the population will reach 9.7 billion by the mid-21st century, requiring approximately a 70% increase in food production (Crist et al. 2017). Thus, the development of high-yield, high-quality wheat varieties has become more urgent than ever.

Post-death Vesicles of Senescent Bone Marrow Mesenchymal Stromal Polyploids Promote Macrophage Aging and Breast Cancer
Abstract Potential systemic factors contributing to aging-associated breast cancer (BC) remain elusive. Here, we reveal that the polyploid giant cells (PGCs) that contain more than two sets of genomes prevailing in aging and cancerous tissues constitute 5-10% of healthy female bone marrow mesenchymal stromal cells (fBMSCs). The PGCs can repair DNA damage and stimulate neighboring cells for clonal expansion.

A review of methods for assessment of cognitive function in high‐altitude hypoxic environments
1 BACKGROUND With the development of economy and tourism, an increasing number of people from low altitudes choose to travel, work, or live in high-altitude areas (Huang, 2021). Personnel on special assignments, such as emergency medical services, law enforcement and the military, often need to ascend rapidly to high altitudes and then quickly perform physically demanding tasks (Rodway & Muza, 2011).
The composition and function of the gut microbiota of Francois’ langurs (Trachypithecus francoisi) depend on the environment and diet
1 Introduction In recent years, explosion in metagenomic techniques has enabled us to explore the complicated microbiota inhabiting micro-environments within the gastrointestinal tract (Handelsman et al., 1998; Handelsman, 2004; Muegge et al., 2011). Evidence has been accumulated to show that the gut microbiota is critical in disease, nutrition, immune responses, and development of the host (Guarner and Malagelada, 2003; Versalovic and Relman, 2006).

A Predictive Model of Capillary Forces and Contact Diameters between Two Plates Based on Artificial Neural Network
Abstract : Many efforts have been devoted to the forecasting of the capillary force generated by capillary adsorption between solids, which is fundamental and essential in the fields of micro-object manipulation and particle wetting. In this paper, an artificial neural network (ANN) model optimized by a genetic algorithm (GA-ANN) was proposed to predict the capillary force and contact diameter of the liquid bridge between two plates.

Relative permeability as a stationary process: Energy fluctuations in immiscible displacement
The previous result can be immediately applied to derive Darcy's law. The right-hand side of Eq. (24) accounts for the heat generated due to viscous dissipation. Considering a Newtonian fluid with constant viscosity μ, ∫Λ∫Ωτ:∇udVdt=μ∫Λ∫ΩE:∇udVdt, (26) where the strain rate tensor is E=12[∇u+(∇u)T]. Note that μ can only be taken outside of the integral if it is constant over the region of space and time specified by Ω and Λ.
