BYU football safety Faletau Satuala suffered offseason injury

PROVO – One of the top defensive players on the BYU football team in 2026 is recovering from an injury. Star safety Faletau Satuala suffered an injury to his right foot during summer offseason workouts. The Bountiful native currently has a hard cast on the injured foot and is on crutches. Satuala’s injury was first reported by Jay Drew of the Deseret News and has since been confirmed by KSL Sports.

On Monday, the league’s Board, which includes university presidents and chancellors of the member institutions, met to discuss their options regarding Sorsby, who is eligible to play despite gambling on his own team’s games at the University of Indiana in 2022, following a Texas judge’s injunction last week.
