Joy Kathleen Jones Harmon was found deceased on Mar. 6, 1976, near Mountain Dell Meadows.

Equipment stolen from oilfield in rural Duchesne County, GPS leads police to suspect

DUCHESNE COUNTY, Utah (ABC4) — Using a GPS locator, Police tracked a suspect accused of stealing thousands of dollars’ worth of drilling equipment from an oilfield in Eastern Utah. Deputies with the Duchesne County Sheriff’s Office took Jason McAllister, 47, into custody Monday afternoon on allegations of stealing over $5,000 worth of equipment, a second-degree felony, and burglary, a third-degree felony.
