Over the past six months or so, I’ve had the pleasure of chatting to many different trainers. It would have to be one of my favourite parts of the job. But last night I went to sleep wondering… are we seeing one of the best and biggest crop of high-performing young greyhounds we’ve ever seen? Or is it recency bias? Am I only thinking about this group of young greyhounds this way because I’m talking about them and hearing about times they have put on the board every day.

Organised Crime claims Horsham Cup for first Group victory

Organised Crime has announced himself as one of the sport’s brightest young stars, handing trainers Justin and Michelle Nolan their first Group victory with an outstanding performance in Friday night’s Group 2 Horsham Cup (485m). Emerging stars filled the quinella in the Horsham Cup as fellow youngster Dustin chased home the winner in just his 11th career start.

Organised Crime eyes Horsham Cup history

Organised Crime will attempt to become one of the youngest greyhounds to win the Group 2 Horsham Cup on Friday night after qualifying fastest for the feature in just his seventh career start. Trainer Justin Nolan believes the talented youngster has all the attributes to develop into a top-class chaser. “He is a nice dog with good ability and is putting everything together,” Nolan said. “He is also a mature dog when he is at the races, which is a great trait to have.
