Nau mai, haere mai ki tō kāinga: Kiwi return to call Wellington home It started with just 13 kiwi in November 2022. Now this week’s last release of kiwi brings the total of North Island brown kiwi in the western Wellington hills to about 300. There have been chicks, there have been mountain-bikers startled by roaming kiwi and even the national bird lolloping around Broadmeadows backyards.

Kaaze on the main stage at Ultra Music FestivalMonique Ford / The Post It was all about that bass for the crowds at Ultra - a one-day music festival that brought a host of big name electronic music artists to the capital. The lineup at Waitangi Park on Friday included duo Chainsmokers - known for song Closer - alongside DJ Snake, Nico Moreno, Oliver Heldens, Darren Styles, Zedd and more. Visual journalist Monique Ford was there to capture the atmosphere.
