KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — Staying hydrated, indoors, or in the shade is top of mind as hot humid weather persists. American Medical Response told 6 News it has seen a 10% increase in calls this week. The Knoxville Fire Department also responded to a heat-related call Thursday at a construction site. This increase is not only attributed to more people spending time outdoors for the upcoming holiday, but the brutal heatwave we have all been experiencing.
