Background Cryptosporidium is a highly infectious protozoan parasite transmitted by ingestion of infectious oocysts via the faecal–oral route. Cryptosporidiosis is a well-established cause of gastrointestinal illness in humans and livestock, although there is evidence that it is both underdiagnosed and underreported [Reference Cacciò and Chalmers1]. Symptoms typically include watery diarrhoea, abdominal pain, vomiting, loss of appetite, and a mild fever [Reference Davies and Chalmers2].

In this study, we characterize the genome-wide lincRNAs in potatoes responsive to a vascular bacterial disease presumably caused by Candidatus Liberibacter solanacearum (CLso). Approximately 4397 lincRNAs were detected in healthy and infected potato plants at various stages of zebra chip (ZC) disease progression.

We enhance understanding by delineating city–regions worldwide, classifying over 30,000 urban centers into four tiers—town, small, intermediate and large city—based on population size and mapping their catchment areas based on travel time, differentiating between primary and secondary city–regions.

However, the precise physico-chemical properties that facilitate this mobility are unknown, hindering rational design.

BENSON — The woman killed in an explosion Monday at a Benson-area home was a property inspector who had gone there to check its condition after the evicted tenant had cleared out. The explosion, which occurred shortly after noon, obliterated the house at 3858 N. 65th St., knocked others off their foundations, shook a wide area of Benson and left at least two people injured, including a neighbor pinned in debris.
