FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – Fort Wayne experienced a 5 day stretch with highs in the 90s each day from June 29 to July 3. The highest temperature officially recorded for Fort Wayne at the Fort Wayne International Airport was 95° on both Wednesday (July 1) and Friday (July 3). Humidity often registered as “Oppressive” on the Muggy Meter during this stretch. So, it felt much hotter. The heat index takes both the heat and humidity level into account to determine the “feels like” temperature outside.
