A collaboration-strength-aware assessment method for vehicle-charger-grid coordination in distribution systems via multi-dimensional business coupling
Abstract A collaborative network strength assessment method is proposed for vehicle-charger-grid systems. The distribution network, aggregators, charging stations, and EV user groups are first represented as a service-oriented collaborative network. Information, energy, and value-price coupling are then integrated with a coordination-consistency correction mechanism, and edge-level, node-level, and network-level indices are constructed for hierarchical assessment.
A triboelectric radical generation route to chlorine disinfectants from brine
Abstract Contact electrification (CE), one of the earliest documented physical phenomena, has traditionally been associated with triboelectric charging but rarely considered as a driver of chemical transformations. Here we show that CE generates radicals at solid-liquid interfaces, establishing contact-electro-chemistry (CE-Chemistry) as a metal-catalyst-free route that uses ambient mechanical energy.

Factors Influencing eHealth Literacy in Maintenance Hemodialysis and Its Relationship with Emotional Status and Quality of Life
Introduction Chronic kidney disease (CKD) is a major global public health concern, affecting approximately 10% of the adult population worldwide.1 As the disease progresses irreversibly, many patients ultimately develop end-stage kidney disease (ESKD), necessitating renal replacement therapies such as maintenance hemodialysis (MHD) and peritoneal dialysis.2 Among these, MHD is the most commonly employed treatment modality, capable of significantly prolonging life expectancy.
A day-ahead and intra-day multi-scale optimization method for distribution network-microgrid coordination considering normal and fault operating conditions
Abstract To address the disconnection between day-ahead pricing and intra-day fault recovery, as well as the difficulty of coordinating benefits among multiple stakeholders, this paper proposes a day-ahead and intra-day multi-scale optimization method for distribution network-microgrid coordination under both normal and fault operating conditions.
Superior colliculus modulates the compulsion in a model of addiction with foot-shock
Abstract Compulsive drug use despite negative consequences is a core addiction feature and key therapeutic target. Animal models utilize footshock to screen for mice exhibiting compulsive-like addiction traits. Following the administration of aversive stimuli, compulsive animals persist in drug-seeking, suggesting that addicted individuals may have impaired innate defensive responses, thereby exacerbating addictive behaviors.
Time-Resolved Mapping of Interface Charge Transfer for Real-Time Observation of Microscopic Chemical Reactions
1 Introduction Real-time and continuous monitoring of chemical reactions provides unique information to characterize the reaction kinetics, intermediate formation, and product yield, opens the door to deep understand reaction mechanisms, improve reaction speed, yield, and energy efficiency. Chemical reaction monitoring often involves the rapid identification of similar chemical species, such as changes in valence state, molecular structure, and coordination information, and so forth [1, 2].
Early adult Chinese heritage speakers’ agency in their language practices in the United States: the role of relations
As language policy and planning (LPP) is increasingly recognized as a multi-layered process involving multiple agents, the nature of their agency has gained significant attention in LPP research. In the context of heritage language maintenance in the United States, while extensive research has explored the agency of various grassroots agents, heritage speakers, as the actual language users, are often viewed as recipients of policy influences, and their LPP agency is not adequately addressed.

The landscape and regulatory potential of eccDNAs in mammalian preimplantation embryos
Abstract Extrachromosomal circular DNA is an emerging regulatory element implicated in genomic stability and gene regulation, yet its role in preimplantation development remains elusive. Here, we report the widespread presence of extrachromosomal circular DNA in preimplantation embryos, characterized by homologous junction sequences and originating from genomic regions enriched for active histone marks and RNA Polymerase II occupancy.
Cancer-associated SF3B1 mutation suppresses DNA repair by disrupting the organization of nuclear actin network
Abstract Nuclear actin filament is required for efficient repair of DNA double-strand breaks. While cancer-associated SF3B1 mutation leads to impaired DNA repair, the underlying mechanism remains elusive. Here, we found that SF3B1 mutation led to defective nuclear actin network during DNA repair. Mechanistically, SF3B1 mutation increased the expression of circATP9B, which interacted with and facilitated the degradation of MYH9.
Donor age ≥50 years combined with donor-CI ≥3 identifies a high-risk cohort for adverse outcomes after allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation in B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia
Allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (allo-HSCT) is a curative therapy for B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (B-ALL), but outcomes are limited by graft-versus-host disease (GVHD) and relapse. Donor age is a well-established prognostic factor, with advanced age linked to immunosenescence and inferior survival. However, the impact of donor comorbidities (Donor-CI) on outcomes remains unclear, as prior studies have not demonstrated standalone prognostic value [1].
TCF21 promotes epithelial-to-mesenchymal transition and cytoskeleton reorganization in uterine development and endometriosis - Nature Communications
Abstract Endometriosis is a common gynecological disease associated with pelvic pain and infertility. Despite several existing theories, the etiology and molecular mechanisms of endometriosis remain to be investigated. Here we report that transcription factor 21 (TCF21) regulates uterine development and endometriosis pathogenesis by promoting epithelial-to-mesenchymal transition (EMT) and cytoskeleton reorganization.
Lipid asymmetry disruption by XKR8 orchestrates neutrophil extracellular trap formation and inhibits fungal infection - Nature Immunology
Abstract Neutrophil extracellular traps (NETs) constitute a vital antimicrobial defense mechanism of neutrophils, contributing to various physio-pathological processes; however, the role of plasma membrane asymmetry in this process remains unknown. Here we identify Xk-related protein 8 (XKR8), a plasma membrane phospholipid scramblase, as a pivotal regulator of NETs formation.
A novel superior colliculus circuit mediates visual cue-driven methamphetamine taking and seeking - Acta Pharmacologica Sinica
Abstract Addictive substances transform environmental cues into potent conditioned cues through reward-based associative learning. While visual cues are known to amplify drug-seeking behavior and trigger relapse, the neural circuits mediating their motivational salience remain incompletely understood. Here, we identified the superior colliculus (SC) as a critical encoder of drug-related visual information via gating reinstatement through a defined SC–VTA–NAcore pathway.

Finite Element Analysis of a Concave 3D Angle‐Interlock Woven Composites Under 60° and 90° Low‐Velocity Impact
This paper constructed for the first time a finite element model of concave 3D angle-interlock woven composites (3DAWCs) at the yarn scale, which can accurately simulate the stress, strain, and damage evolution of curved composites under the low-velocity impact (LVI) at 60° and 90° impact angles. A viscoplastic user-mater (VUMAT) subroutine was coded based on the 3D Hashin failure criterion and linear damage evolution, filling the gap of traditional models in oblique impact simulation.

Artificial Nervous Systems
1 Introduction The human nervous system processes and transmits information through neurons and synapses, operating in a distributed, parallel, and event-driven mode.[1, 2] It is capable of efficiently and intelligently sensing, processing, and responding to complex external stimuli, enabling real-time interaction and adaptive regulation.
An integrated monolithic synaptic device for C-tactile afferent perception and robot emotional interaction
Human emotional interaction relies heavily on CT afferents—unmyelinated nerves in hairy skin that convert gentle tactile stimuli into affective states. For robots to engage in similar empathetic communication, existing tactile sensing technologies fall short: most rely on segregated "sensation-transmission-processing" modules, which cause latency accumulation and high energy consumption due to repeated analog-to-digital conversion.

The different paradigms of NK cell death in patients with severe trauma - Cell Death & Disease
Abstract Lymphocyte decline, particularly the depletion of NK cells, is a prominent feature of immunosuppression following severe tissue injury, heightening the susceptibility of severe trauma patients to life-threatening infections. Previous research indicates that the reduction in the number of NK cells is closely associated with the process of cell death. Nonetheless, the precise mechanism of NK cell death remains unknown.
Environmental aridity driving latitudinal pattern of biomass allocation fractions in root systems of 63 shrub species in dry valleys
1 INTRODUCTION Biomass allocation to different organs or components of plant individuals varies with environmental change (Litton et al., 2007; McConnaughay & Coleman, 1999; Poorter et al., 2012). The biomass fraction of different plant components reflects functional strategy in resource acquisition and, therefore, determines terrestrial carbon storage (Freschet et al., 2018; Umana et al., 2021).
