LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Today, the STEAM Activity Center has opened, completing the FiftyOne Commons development. The Family Service Lincoln, who created the activity center, provides out-of-school programming for 21 Lincoln Public Schools. The FiftyOne Commons is a mixed-use development that includes affordable rentals, a Community Crops garden and the STEAM Activity Center. It provides youth recreation and learning opportunities in STEAM areas.

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — The White House continues to find a solution to protect households and small businesses from increased costs caused by data centers. President Donald Trump joined Nebraska Gov. Jim Pillen and many other governors in signing the Ratepayer Protection Pledge. The Ratepayer Protection Pledge is an agreement that companies will build, bring or buy all the energy needed for building and operating data centers.

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Yesterday, Nebraska Sen. Deb Fischer paid tribute to the late Sen. Lindsey Graham, who died nearly two weeks ago. Fischer asked her colleagues to carry on Graham’s efforts. “I rise here today to pay tribute to Lindsey Graham, but to also call on my colleagues to help us carry on one of his greatest efforts—ending Putin’s barbaric and unjust war against sovereign Ukraine,” Fischer said. Fischer also called on her colleagues to pass the Sanctioning Russia Act as fast as possible.
