Summer visitors to Universal Studios Hollywood will find plenty of new experiences waiting when Mega Movie Summer returns from June 13 through August 9, 2026. Included with regular theme park admission, the seasonal event celebrates major Universal Pictures and Illumination films with themed entertainment, specialty food, merchandise, and character encounters. This year’s event highlights several upcoming and iconic franchises.

Universal’s Halloween Horror Nights announced an addition to its 2026 lineup with a new haunted house inspired by Warner Bros. Pictures’ Sinners, the supernatural horror film from writer, director, and producer Ryan Coogler. The experience will debut at Universal Orlando Resort on August 28 and at Universal Studios Hollywood on September 3, bringing guests directly into the film’s vampire-filled world.

Independent horror filmmaking takes center stage this fall as the Deadhead Film Festival prepares for its second annual event in St. Albans, West Virginia. Set for October 3, 2026, the one-day festival aims to bring together filmmakers, horror fans, and genre veterans for a packed program focused on emerging voices in horror cinema.
