Omar is an East Africa Business Correspondent for Reuters, where he covers companies and economic news about the region based in Kenya's capital Nairobi.

Before that, he was a reporter for Bloomberg News in Tanzania, where he reported on the business, economic and financial news in East Africa's second largest economy.
