What was your first job as a journalist?

My first professional job? It was covering a forum in rural New Hampshire about the need of fiber optics to close the digital divide.

Have you ever used a typewriter?

Ha. Yes. My mother even paid me one summer to learn to type on an electric typewriter. I can still smell the ribbon.

How is social media changing news?

Social media has upended our entire industry, changing how we fund our news reporting to how we engage our readers.
