Detecting Road Potholes with DeepLab on Raspberry Pi AI Cam
Things used in this project Story This project uses a custom-trained DeepLabv3+ semantic segmentation model to detect road potholes in camera frames. The model outputs a per-pixel mask: one class for background and one for pothole. You can run inference in a Jupyter notebook on images or live on a Raspberry Pi with the AI Camera. All code needed to train, convert, and run the model is in the tutorial notebook and the accompanying aicamera script.
AI Camera Motion-Triggered Capture with BYTETracker
Things used in this project This project demonstrates an end-to-end real-time edge vision pipeline that combines object detection, multi-object tracking, and pixel-based motion estimation to reliably capture images (or record video) only when something is actually moving—optionally only inside user-defined Areas.

Person Detection with Raspberry Pi AI Camera & OpenPLC
Things used in this project × 1 × 1 × 1 This project demonstrates how to implement privacy-focused person detection using the Raspberry Pi AI Camera integrated with OpenPLC for real-time visual notifications via a stack light or signal tower light. Person detection AI has numerous applications including crowd counting, intrusion detection, and congestion monitoring.
Reading Analogue Gauge Values with PersonLab on RPi AI Cam
Things used in this project Story This project uses a custom-trained keypoint model to read analogue gauges in real time. The model detects two keypoints on the meter: the start (centre/origin of the needle) and the end (tip of the needle). From their positions you can compute the needle angle and, with simple calibration, convert it to the value the gauge is showing.
Using AI Camera Modules Easily with Docker on Raspberry Pi
Things used in this project This project introduces how to launch a Docker container on Raspberry Pi 5 and control the AI Camera from it, with actual source code examples.
Gym Injury Detection with Raspberry Pi AI Camera
Things used in this project Gyms are quite popular these days 💪 While prioritizing health and fitness is excellent, safety remains a major concern in fitness center environments. Accidents and sudden health emergencies can occur during workouts, and quick response times are critical. In this article, we will create an application that detects potentially injured individuals, specifically, people who have stopped moving near training machines.
Deploy Edge AI on CSV26 with AITRIOS (Part 2)
Things used in this project This is a project to help get you started with the Rayprus CSV26 camera, powered by Sony's IMX500, and AITRIOS Developer Edition. We will set up the AI camera hardware, and create a custom object detection model we can deploy to it using AITRIOS Developer Edition. Then we can run the AI model, and verify the end-to-end workflow by collecting the inference results, output as metadata, for further analysis.

Improving liquidity for Asian real estate investors - Part 3: Sale and Leaseback Agreements | JD Supra
SUMMARY A common route for property owners to effect divestiture of their real estate assets to de-risk their investments and to improve liquidity is to sell down part of the asset and form a joint venture with the buyer. Alternatively (or as a hybrid), an owner may sell the whole or part of its properties – but on the basis that it receives a lease back immediately on completion so that it can continue to use the property (or properties).

10 Tips to Improve Construction Site Project Communications
By Richard Reizen and Patrick Johnson of Gould & Ratner LLP In the iconic scene from the classic movie Cool Hand Luke, the role played by character actor Strother Martin famously complains to the character played by Paul Newman: “What we’ve got here, is failure to communicate.” Just like the consequences faced by Newman’s character for that failure, the consequences of a failure to communicate on a construction project can also be severe.

University Libraries | The University of Iowa
Just this week we read and talked about feelings of being obsolete. While the inherent purpose was to discuss the evolution of technology and digital spaces, I gravitated to my own person concern and woe. I instantly responded with the moment that my then high school freshmen sat in my introduction to journalism class and had no idea what several of my pop culture references were or meant — such as my very consistent retort: Oh my lanta. I’m a pop culture junkie.

It takes a lot for me to say that I’m truly uncomfortable. In life, I am pretty sure I’ve lived it in a perpetual state of discomfort—or at least a way in which I embrace situations that aren’t all that cozy. I believe in being uncomfortable so much, that I used to start my senior English class (I used to teach high school) each semester with an article about needing controversy, not comfort in our classroom spaces.

How I help families and patients as an organ recovery coordinator | Opinion
Patrick Johnson is the organ recovery coordinator (ORC) at Tennessee Donor Services. Before I came to Tennessee Donor Services (TDS), I worked as a nurse and in clinical administration. I thought I had an idea of what being an organ recovery coordinator (ORC) at TDS would be about. I would evaluate the patient, create a plan of action, and facilitate its completion. I had no idea. I did not realize that every donation and transplantation can involve nearly 200 people.
