Sto dní - Patrick O'Brian
O knize Sto dní Napoleon unikl z vyhnanství na Elbě a získal obrovskou armádu, když pochodoval z jižního pobřeží Francie do Paříže, kde sesadil Ludvíka XVIII. Spojenci z let 1813 a 1814 se opět spojují, aby spojili své armády na souši a zabránili Napoleonovi udržet Francii, kterou znovu dobyl. Síly na severním pobřeží Afriky shromažďují peníze, aby zablokovaly spojenecké armády v připojení, což podporuje Napoleona.

The best books for an insight as to why men go to war
Why am I passionate about this? I’m pretty well qualified to provide you with a list of five great books about men at war because, frankly, I’ve spent half my life reading them and the other half trying to write them (you be the judge!).
A Walk-Through of Our First Used Camping Trailer
I enjoyed doing this You-Tube Video and wanted to share it with you. "A Walk-Through of Our First Used Camping Trailer" is published by Patrick O'Brian in Globetrotters.
Taking Trips In The Camper
We, my wife and I, took our first big trip in our camper in June 2015. We traveled to see the Grand Tetons, Yellowstone National Park, the site of the Little Bighorn Battle, the Badlands, and Mt. Rushmore in a three week long trip. It was my last, and best, vacation trip while I was still employed. I retired in October of the same year. Before retiring, we upgraded our camping trailer, buying a new unit. That is the camper that we have today.

Master and Commander (Aubrey-Maturin Series #1)
Taken as a whole, the Aubrey-Maturin novels are by a long shot the best things of their kind…they are uniquely excellent. My hero is Patrick O'Brian…I read all of his books many, many times. I’ve read them so many times I can’t read them anymore because eventually you know the whole book by heart. Some of you...have never read a Patrick O'Brian novel. I beseech you to start now. Start with Master and Commander, which should be available in paperback from your nearest bookseller.

Don't Give Up the Ship
O'Brian's present popularity is to some extent a fad, but it is also justified. To say that his books are a cut above the average historical novel is to miss the point: Aubrey and Maturin are to Capt. Horatio Hornblower what Philip Marlowe is to Perry Mason. Nor is his superiority merely a function of his ability to tell good stories in stylish prose.

'Come, sir, cannot I prevail upon you to go to sea? A man-of-war is the very thing for a philosopher, above all in the Mediterranean: there are the birds, the fishes--I could promise you some monstrous strange fishes--the natural phenomena, the meteors, the chance of prize-money. For even Aristotle would have been moved by prize-money....

01.20.04 Security As Theater Taxiing down the runway yesterday on a New York-bound Finnair flight from Helsinki, the steward made the following announcement: "The Transportation Security Administration has asked us to advise passengers that congregating in groups during the flight is prohibited. Don't Give Up the Ship
November 3, 1996 Don't Give Up the Ship By TERRY TEACHOUT THE YELLOW ADMIRAL By Patrick O'Brian. he belated success of Patrick O'Brian's Aubrey-Maturin sea stories -- "The Yellow Admiral" is the 18th in the series -- is a tale very nearly as diverting as anything O'Brian himself has written.
