New name added to Kilkenny senior hurling backroom team

Former Limerick goalkeeping coach Timmy Houlihan has taken up a coaching role with the Kilkenny senior hurling team ahead of the 2026 season. It has been reported by the Irish Independent that Houlihan will join Derek Lyng's backroom team. Lyng has already added former Kilkenny hurler Eddie Brennan and ex Dublin hurler Niall Corcoran to his management team for the upcoming season. Kilkenny last won the All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship in 2015.
