PennDOT announced Sunday night that it’s temporarily reducing the speed limit on major routes in the southcentral PennDOT District 8 region consisting of Adams, Cumberland, Dauphin, Franklin, Lancaster, Lebanon, Perry, and York counties. Earlier, it reduced speeds to 45 mph on I-81 from the Maryland line in Franklin County to the Schuylkill County line at mile marker 96.8, and on I-83 from the Maryland state line in York County to Route 581 in Cumberland County.
