France’s in-hospital coronavirus mortality reaches lowest levels in two months
With 125 new Covid-19 deaths reported in French hospitals on Tuesday evening, the epidemic is taking a similar toll as at the beginning of the nearly two-month confinement imposed in mid-March. Tuesday evening's tally of 125 deaths in the previous 24-hour period was not the lowest single-day death toll that France's health services have reported in recent weeks. Inconsistencies in reporting mean the figures appear lower at the weekend before jumping back up as a new workweek begins.

Now, metallurgists and material engineers have a much broader array of specialized techniques and equipment to tailor materials to specific applications.

How the death of 1 dream led Mike Woods to the Olympics
There was a period in my life where I was the cliché former high school star whose brilliance had long since faded. I spent many sleepless nights looking up at the ceiling wishing I could invent a time machine. Now, worse things have happened to people —much worse — but I thought the greatest thing that I would ever do was something I did when I was 18-years-old. It was sad.

These wraps will keep your phalanges and metacarpals from splintering. Thanks to a hook-and-loop closure, their thumb straps securely fit your hands, and the polyester-nylon material is breathable, so the wraps don’t get too stanky too quickly. They’re versatile enough for bag work and even sparring, but the Powerlock’s main function is to protect a boxer’s hands.

All eyes on boxer Félix Verdejo as he steps into the ring this weekend in NY
They could use a shot of good news in Puerto Rico these days. Read the papers, ask around, see the grim looks on the faces of the adults going about their day-to-day business in the middle of a financial crisis. And so they seek diversions. Is Floyd Mayweather the 'best ever'? George Foreman and a Muhammad Ali intimate weigh in
The Clash for All the Cash. On Saturday, May 2nd, we will witness the biggest bout of all time ... or maybe not. Possibly the Floyd Mayweather vs. Manny Pacquiao showdown is something in the middle. Maybe Mayweather is not “The Best Ever,” as he proclaimed himself to ESPN recently. Maybe Manny Pacquiao is not the savior of his nation, and instead is a decent but yes, flawed man, who is simply trying to do the best he can, even if he does hold a congressional seat in the Philippines.

Being grandparent brings back memories
A link has been posted to your Facebook feed. I've forgotten a lot of things. Today, it will likely be the orange juice I'm supposed to collect on the way home. Mostly, though, I've forgotten the way things used to be; like having a 1-year-old under your feet every day. It seems it wasn't that long ago when my wife and I ran the household. Now my granddaughter does, which is why I thank the Lord every day she doesn't realize the power she wields. I've forgot whose priorities matter.
