Life-long Providence guy, with excursions of varied lengths to Ann Arbor (college), San Francisco (internship at the Bay Guardian), New York City (a brief, ill-fated stint in children's publishing; later, graduate school), Southern Ohio/Chicago/Florida/New York/North Carolina (an attempt to write an "In Cold Blood"-esque true crime book that's currently stuck in a timeless FOIA-related deep-freeze).
