Northwest Iowa community $3.8M in FEMA funding from 2024 floods Original

CHEROKEE, Iowa (KTIV) - Another Northwest Iowa community damaged by flooding nearly two years ago is receiving millions of dollars in federal funding for repairs to its infrastructure. The Department of Homeland Security says the town of Cherokee will receive a $3.8 million grant from FEMA. The funds would be used for repairs to a lift station damaged by flooding in June of 2024.

Saturday in the Park Headliners Announced

He will joined by Evan Honer, The Marcus King Band, Tech N9ne And 2 DEAD BOYZ to mark the 36th Year of the Festival. This year will have a special surprise this year for the 250th Birthday of the United States. Saturday in the Park is a free event held at the Grandview Park Municipal Bandshell in Sioux City on July 4th.
