The vegetable and fruit producer said the lettuce was distributed from June 29 through July 16 in 27 states including Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Michigan and Texas.

AAA Iowa spokesman Brian Ortner says pump prices bounced two weeks ago before the busy Independence Day weekend, but instead of leveling off, they’ve continued to climb. “Markets today are teetering around the $80 per barrel range, so we have seen a $10 increase in two weeks, and that’s obviously transferring itself over to the price at the pump that consumers are seeing now,” Ortner said.

The winning numbers were 22, 34, 45, 48, 55, and the gold Mega Ball, 14. The jackpot remains the tenth-largest Mega Millions prize. The largest Mega Millions jackpot of all time was won in August 2023. A single ticket bought in Florida won the $1.602 billion grand prize.

Bystander shot and killed on bus was on way to doctor’s appointment, family says
BRECKENRIDGE HILLS, Mo. (First Alert 4/Gray News) - Relatives, friends and community members gathered for a candlelight vigil earlier this week to remember 52-year-old Rashad Rice, who was shot and killed while riding a MetroBus in Missouri on July 10. Breckenridge Hills police said Rice and a 24-year-old were shot near St. Charles Rock Road and Wismer Road. Both later died from their injuries.

Man charged with murder after shooting at people rummaging through his car, police say
ST. LOUIS (First Alert 4/Gray News) - A St. Louis man is facing charges, including murder, after police said he shot at a group of people rummaging through his parked car. Timothy Kemper, 39, is charged with first-degree murder, first-degree assault, unlawful use of a weapon and three counts of armed criminal action in the 22nd Judicial Circuit Court of St. Louis, according to court records. According to the court documents, Kemper’s lawyer argued the shooting was self-defense.
