The defining capital markets event of the quarter was undoubtedly the launch of SpaceX's mega IPO.
Congress Lacks Moral Authority To Speak On Constitution
Patna: I am always surprised and shocked whenever I see how Congress's Yuvraj and leader of opposition in Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, frequently holds up a pocket-sized, red-covered copy of the Indian Constitution during political rallies, parliamentary sessions, and official events as if he is the only saviour of the Constitution and the values enshrined within it.
Q1 2026 Post-Mortem From an Investment Adviser: Spring Warms as Markets Cool
The result was a first quarter where few corners of the investable universe were spared and where the traditional hedges many investors rely on largely failed to provide shelter. As we close the books on the first quarter of 2026, here are a few takeaways investors should be carrying into the second quarter. U.S. equities: Buy-the-dip mentality meets its match Despite grabbing headlines with volatility, U.S. markets showed some resilience, aided by a dominant dollar and domestic energy production.

U.S. equities: Modest gains amid concentration risks U.S. stocks capped off the year with resilient but unspectacular gains, as the S&P 500 rose more than 2% in Q4 to finish the full year up about 16%. The Nasdaq 100 delivered a stronger performance with a gain of about 20% for the year, though Q4 was more muted.

Share this article Add us as a preferred source on Google Newsletter With 2025 now in the books, markets have once again demonstrated remarkable resilience. From gold's glittering ascent and outperformance of international equities not seen in decades, last year was a masterclass in adaptation and not chasing the herd. As pointed out in my article about the first quarter, "The old playbook might not cut it.

I'm a Financial Pro: Why You Shouldn't Put All Your Eggs in the Company Stock Basket Original
Many professionals are stellar in their fields but make the mistake of linking the bulk of their investments to the companies for which they work. This might be a winning strategy when organizations are successful, but no company is immune to management missteps, government regulations, cost pressures, competitive shifts or disruptive technologies.

Wearing My Mind: The Code Behind the Clothes
A visual mixtape of logic, chaos, and self-expression through fashion and code. This isn’t just a blog post. This is my brain — unzipped and styled. The screen glows. It’s 3:07 AM. My terminal’s open. My music’s loud. My sketchpad’s next to my mousepad. I’m debugging code while sketching a jacket concept inspired by glitch art. Why? Because my brain doesn’t operate on lanes. It runs on intersections — between logic and leather, structure and silk, algorithms and asymmetry. I’m 20. Male.

A Descriptive Analysis of Pediatric Ophthalmology Fellowship Program Directors
Short Subjects Abstract There is limited literature on the characteristics of pediatric ophthalmology leadership. The authors examined the demographics, academic backgrounds, and scholarly output of pediatric ophthalmology fellowship program directors. Despite a positive trend in gender equity in this position, efforts remain to resolve the “leaky pipeline” of women into ophthalmology leadership. [J Pediatr Ophthalmol Strabismus. 2022;59(6):e69–e72.] 1..
Channelling success in a competitive retail market
Consumer touchpoints are growing exponentially, making media activation more complicated as shoppers flutter across thousands of channels and apps, making the possible combinations infinite. This creates significant challenges for retailers and brands which are increasingly responding by taking an opti-channel approach to activation and measurement. It means simplifying the customer experience, telling brand stories effectively and evaluating performance more accurately.
A Peek into the Diabetic Retinopathy Pipeline
Intravitreal anti-vascular endothelial growth factor agents are the standard of care for diabetic macular edema, and perhaps even diabetic retinopathy in general. However, despite their proven efficacy, anti-VEGF injections aren’t curative, and many patients require long-term therapy with regular injections.

Case Report: Ultrasound Reveals Cause of Post-Arthroplasty Knee Pain
A 65-year-old woman was referred by an orthopedist to a rheumatologist for left knee pain. Previously, in 2014, she underwent left total knee arthroplasty (TKA) for severe osteoarthritis in a different institution. Following the procedure, she experienced severe chronic anterolateral knee pain at rest, exacerbated by walking. Because she was rendered wheelchair bound and required chronic narcotic analgesia, she sought a second orthopedic opinion at our institution in 2015.

The patient had undergone bilateral total knee arthroplasties (TKAs) for sports-related osteoarthritis three years before. In addition to the knee pain, the patient described several years of bilateral hand swelling and stiffness, which had been worsening over the past few months.
Protecting Products, Profits & Brands with High-Wavelength UV Absorber for PET Packaging
Foods and beverages, personal care products and household cleaners packaged in clear polyethylene terephthalate (PET) bottles face a threat to their formulations and ingredients from ultraviolet (UV) light. Forged in fire - Recycling Today
Red-hot metal pours from a furnace, creating a halo of sparks as it lands in a mold. Across the plant, acid solutions dissolve precious metals in specialized tanks. “No place for a lady,” a person of a certain era or mindset might describe the North Carolina plants where precious metals recycler Metallix mines scrap materials for gold, silver, platinum, palladium and rhodium.
