Synchronous vs asynchronous communications: A complete guide
Synchronous execution requires parties or components to work simultaneously in real time, while asynchronous communications don't need systems to wait for a reply. By Priyank Gupta, Sahaj Software Joel Shore, News Writer Published: 07 Nov 2025 All software systems are underpinned by fundamental choices that shape key characteristics of the system's design. One such foundational element is how different components within a system communicate with each other.

TLS(Transport Layer...
Key considerations for data-intensive architectures
A shift toward data-driven decision-making amplifies the need for scalable systems that deliver real-time business insights supported by quality data. By Priyank Gupta, Sahaj Software Published: 19 Mar 2025 Data-intensive architectures, built to handle large volumes of data rather than large amounts of traffic, play a critical role in conceptualizing systems that can help businesses manage and process massive data inflows.
5 fundamental strategies for REST API authentication
REST APIs are the backbone of modern applications, separating data and presentation layers and allowing systems to scale in size and feature sophistication. However, as data moves across boundaries, it's important to secure REST APIs that contain sensitive information by implementing authentication mechanisms that control their exposure. REST API authentication not only identifies legitimate users or systems to grant access to an API, but it also prevents unauthorized interactions.

Can you really use a shared database for microservices?
For years, experts have stressed that the success of a microservices architecture rests upon bounded contexts, which draw clear boundaries between underlying functional logic and application state information. Part of fostering this proper separation of concerns involves moving from a centralized database structure to one where each service is assigned its own designated data store.

Patterns for Microservices — Sync vs. Async - DZone Microservices
Microservices is an architecture paradigm. In this architectural style, small and independent components work together as a system. Despite its higher operational complexity, the paradigm has seen a rapid adoption. It is because it helps break down a complex system into manageable services. The services embrace micro-level concerns like single responsibility, separation of concerns, modularity, etc. Patterns for Microservices is a series of blogs.
How can people send me spam emails from the future?
Is this an exploit of the email system of some sort? I receive a great deal of spam every day, and my accounts in Yahoo and Gmail sometimes show me spam emails from the future. Yes, the future. Sometimes it will give me a day ahead when they send it, which could mean they are a day ahead via time zones, but sometimes I have also seen a week ahead, but rarely I find emails sent a month in the future. Are these spammers exploiting a part of email that allows them to spoof the timestamp of the email?
Is there any way to make WEP secured AP uncrackable?
There are two possible solutions here, the first might work, the second definitely works. If your router supports it, you can define a MAC address filter to either whitelist or blacklist devices accessing the accesspoint. To do this, you will have to log into the administration panel of your router and enable MAC address filtering. (Check your manual on how to do this). What kind of filter you can enable depends on your router.
