Targeting HDAC and proteostasis to eradicate quiescent cancer cells
Abstract Chemotherapy remains the primary treatment for ovarian cancer (OvCa), and chemoresistance drives patient mortality. Cellular quiescence, reversible exit from the cell cycle, increases chemotherapy resistance as chemotherapies primarily target rapidly proliferating cells. Here, we report that CHD4 and MBD3, components of the nucleosome remodeling and deacetylase (NuRD) complex, are downregulated in quiescent OvCa cells (qOvCa).

Phosphorus addition shifts elevated CO 2 effects on soil respiration from rhizosphere to root pathways in a mature eucalypt woodland
Introduction Rising atmospheric CO2 concentrations (Ca) can enhance photosynthesis and plant growth, suggesting that there is potential for terrestrial ecosystems to partly offset anthropogenic CO2 emissions by sequestering additional carbon (Broecker et al., 1979). However, the strength and persistence of this response depend critically on nutrient availability (Norby, 2025).

Three-segment lateral δ-doping redistribution in GaAs pHEMTs for gate–drain field relief and improved off-state robustness
Abstract In GaAs pseudomorphic high-electron-mobility transistors (pHEMTs) for high-power and high-linearity radio-frequency (RF) applications, significant lateral electric-field crowding at the gate–drain edge is a common issue under high drain bias, particularly during off-state and semi-off-state operation. Alleviating this peak field, however, typically leads to an increase in access resistance and degrades key RF figures of merit, resulting in an inherent robustness–performance trade-off.

Uniform phase distribution of wide bandgap perovskite for high-performance perovskite-silicon tandem solar cells - Nature Communications
Abstract Metal halide perovskite-silicon tandem solar cells offer a promising pathway towards surpassing the efficiency limits of single-junction devices, and the focus remains on the wide bandgap (WBG) perovskite top cell optimization. Here, by incorporating melamine additive into a rubidium-alloyed perovskite composition, we suppress film phase separation and inhomogeneity and enhance charge carrier mobility.
USP29 and SMURF1 orchestrate FSP1-mediated ferroptosis suppression to facilitate chemoresistance in gastric cancer - Nature Communications
Abstract Gastric cancer (GC) ranks as the third leading cause of cancer-related mortality. Chemoresistance poses a major obstacle to successful treatment for GC patients. Here, we demonstrate that ferroptosis suppressor protein 1 (FSP1) enables chemoresistance in GC by inhibiting ferroptosis, resulting in diminished chemotherapy response and reduced patient survival rate.

When is it effective to use avatars in metaverse advertising? The psychological mechanism of imagery fluency
The metaverse is a nascent advertising landscape, characterized as a virtual environment that can provide consumers with immersive visual information. However, studies on metaverse advertising are limited. This study hypothesized that the interplay between avatar presence (a fundamental component of the metaverse) and product type (avatar-wearable vs. non-avatar-wearable) will augment advertising effectiveness by allowing consumers to simulate a product’s real-world application more vividly.
