Jim Johnson’s Biography

Jim Johnson is a veteran freelance pop culture writer and proprietor of Ramblings About Comics and Stuff (https://www.facebook.com/RamblingsAboutComicsAndStuff, https://www.youtube.com/@JJsRamblings). Former features and news writer for CBR.com. Former reviewer and online columnist for Comics Buyer's Guide.

What was your first job as a journalist?

The now-defunct Comics Buyer's Guide brought me on back when they revamped the magazine and brought on a bunch of reviewers.

How is social media changing news?

It's changed for the better by delivering news in real time, but at the same time non-credible sources have buried a lot of the actual truth.

Who's your favorite fictional journalist?

There's no comics fan, especially ones into photography, who doesn't love the all-too-down-to-Earth Peter Parker, aka Spider-Man.
