Rabul Sawal’s Biography

Freelance journalist based in Ternate Island, North Maluku. My journalism career began with the Aspirasi Student Press Organization (LPM) at Khairun University, North Maluku in 2019. I then became a freelance contributor for Mongabay Indonesia in early 2021 and Project Multatuli in early 2022. I have received various reporting scholarships on various environmental topics, such as energy transition, food, nickel downstreaming, indigenous peoples' conflicts, the palm oil industry, and wildlife.
