Jackfruit Fritters with Spiced Condensed Milk Recipe
These crispy jackfruit fritters from Ramael Scully are served with - wait for it - condensed milk. An unexpected but delicious dip, when spiced with citrus, mace, nutmeg and vanilla it’s a great partner for jackfruit. It’s important to use yellow jackfruit for this dish, and not the green kind often available in tins.

Balsamic-Glazed Hogget Recipe
This hogget recipe is a perfect reason to use this underused and under-appreciated meat. Like lamb but with a more pronounced flavour, the shoulder is braised and glazed in balsamic vinegar and served on a bed of nutty freekeh, bitter radicchio and piquant balsamic onions.

Cou-Cou & Flying Fish Recipe
This is a dish that is cooked all over Barbados, and it has plenty of fond memories attached to it for me. Usually this conjures up memories of grandmothers cooking it at home, which is what I always think of when I hear the name. Cou-cou and flying fish is Barbados’ national dish and has the respect of both young and old generations. With mellow flavours, the fresh fish stew is also perfect for a typical British rainy day, as I have had here on many occasions.
Mediterranean Sea Bass Recipe
William Drabble shares his sunny Mediterranean sea bass recipe, inspired by his travels in the region. "I created my dish after a trip to Sicily," he explains. "Tomatoes, basil and black olives is a typical combination in Italy; it is very simple, but it works like magic when the ingredients taste as good as they do there. I was having tomato and basil everyday, be it in a Caprese salad, in pennette with tomato sauce, in caponata, or in a pizza Margherita...

Fall seasonal recipes for Shabbat and Jewish Cuisine
The famous deli sandwich composed of smoked fatty brisket, soft rye and big schmear of yellow mustard. Photo by Laura Togut. No Montreal Jewish deli will reveal the secret -- and sacred -- mix of spices used to smoke their briskets. Schwartz's Deli is arguably the most famous and popular: Lines form outside at all hours to eat its version of a Jewish Big Mac (calorie-wise at least).
