What was your first job as a journalist?
Student intern for the Democrat and Chronicle newspaper, I wrote a feature piece on the history of the state lottery and the numbers.
Have you ever used a typewriter?
No, but I want to try.
How is social media changing news?
It is more centralized and allows for a farther reach; some deserve more reach than others, but that's not how the game works.

Honestly.
What tools and software do you use to do your job?
WordPress, all Adobe, and ChatGPT.
Why did you become a journalist?
To bring the real stories of the world into light and to inspire others to see life differently. I've always had a curiosity for everything.
Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?
I worked on my high school's broadcast news club, where I wrote, shot, and produced my own packages.
When's the best time to pitch you?
After I'm fully awake and before I give up for the day.
What's your favorite drink?
Hard cider.
Aside from your own, what's your favorite publication to read?
City Magazine or The New Yorker.
What's the most common misperception about your beat?
That I am forming a narrative that isn't there, when the narrative was there before I make it an article.
