Hypergraphs offer a natural framework for modeling networked data, where dependencies among entities are governed by higher-order interactions. While hypergraph learning methods such as hypergraph neural networks have demonstrated remarkable predictive performance, most existing approaches rely on black-box message-passing architectures, making it difficult to disentangle the contributions of node attributes and higher-order structural information.
Computer Science > Machine Learning
Deep neural networks that are independently trained to similar performance can be connected by low-loss parametric curves in weight space, a phenomenon known as Mode Connectivity (MC). This geometric property underpins practical techniques such as weight averaging, model ensembling, and model merging.
Imbalance fault diagnosis based on iterative attention wavelet packet decomposition and weighted ensemble classification algorithm
Abstract The gearbox is a crucial component for the operation of machinery. There is an imbalance in the data of various faults that occur during its operation. Therefore, this paper proposes an ensemble learning method from the perspective of feature extraction. Firstly, an iterative wavelet packet decomposition algorithm is designed.
A system-based evaluation and feedback mechanism for green quality of metropolis energy big data using probabilistic linguistic term sets
Abstract Renewable energy will reduce the strain on the energy supply to some degree; however, many challenges exist in its organic integration with the current energy system, thus prompting a new round of transformation of the existing energy system.

Toroidal helical pulses - Communications Physics
Abstract Toroidal topologies and helicity are pervasive in nature and hold basic importance in scientific research. In particular, the interplay between these features gives rise to fascinating electromagnetic excitations of toroidal helices. Here, we theoretically present and experimentally realize a family of such excitations of free space, which we call toroidal helical pulses.
Environmental policies, firm entry and exit, and pollution emissions: quantifying the extensive margin in a new Keynesian E-DSGE model
Abstract We quantify the extensive margin of environmental policy—the component of aggregate emissions driven by changes in the number of active firms—in a New Keynesian E-DSGE model with endogenous firm entry, nominal rigidities, and a stock pollutant, estimated on Chinese quarterly data.
A multi-way SMILES-based hypergraph inference network for metabolic model reconstruction - Communications Biology
Abstract Genome-scale metabolic models (GEMs) are indispensable tools for probing cellular metabolism, enabling predictions of metabolic fluxes, guiding strain optimization, and advancing biomedical research. However, their predictive capacity is often compromised by incomplete reaction networks, stemming from gaps in biochemical knowledge, annotation inaccuracies, and insufficient experimental validations.

Hybrid electromagnetic toroidal vortices
Abstract The ubiquitous occurrence of toroidal vortices, or vortex rings, in fluid dynamics scenarios in nature has garnered notable attention in the scientific community, while their electromagnetic counterparts have only been proposed recently with two distinct manifestations: vector toroidal pulses and scalar phase toroidal vortices.
Single-antenna super-resolution positioning with nonseparable toroidal pulses - Communications Physics
Abstract The fundamental principle of satellite/node-based positioning involves triangulating the receiver’s coordinates through the intersection of spatial distances. Advancements in hybrid wireless networks have yielded high-precision positioning at decimeter-level (wavelength-level), approaching the resolution limits in free space. Here we present a 3D super-resolution positioning paradigm in free space by utilizing a kind of topologically structured pulses, toroidal electromagnetic pulses.

Metadevice for Electromagnetic Cloaking With Monitors in Complex Space
1. Introduction Waveguide systems, structures for transmitting and controlling microwave energy, prevent interference and damage to internal signals, ensuring rapid and accurate transmission between sources and targets [1–5], commonly employed for secure data transmission in military and communication areas [6–8]. The challenge of obtaining enemy-transmitted information within waveguide systems in the military area without detection, enabling proactive strategy formulation, remains unresolved.

Internal-multiport-model-based fast inverse design of an antireflective artificial metastructure in a waveguide system
In practical applications, achieving perfect transmission of electromagnetic waves despite reflections from a complex medium segment in waveguide systems is of great significance. Using a preinstalled antireflective artificial metastructure (ARAMS) to mitigate reflections caused by the presence of a complex medium is an effective solution. The inverse design of ARAMS in waveguide systems is an optimization process.

Dynamic monitoring of serum CEA and CA19-9 predicts the prognosis of postoperative stage II colon cancer
We sought to investigate the prognostic significance of carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) and carbohydrate antigen 19-9 (CA19-9) dynamics for stage II colon cancer patients undergoing radical resection. This study retrospectively analyzed 1517 stage II colon cancer patients admitted to the Harbin Medical University Cancer Hospital from January 2011 to December 2016. To observe the relationship between tumor markers dynamic monitoring and survival, we calculated cut-off values for ΔCEA and ΔCA19-9.

An Improved Discrete Jaya Algorithm for Shortest Path Problems in Transportation-Related Processes
1. Introduction The shortest path problem (SPP) is among the most fundamental ones in graph theory. It is concerned with finding the shortest path from a specified origin to a destination in a given graph or network. In general, each edge’s distance, time, and price is called cost. This paper uses “cost” to indicate the distance, time, and other physical attributes of a network.

Optimal Environmental Policy for Heterogeneous Governments in China
Abstract : The purpose of the article is to study how the shift in the developing philosophy of China’s central leadership has impacted the management style of China’s local governments and, in turn, the country’s economic and environmental equilibrium. We use a real business cycle model with environmental variables and divide governments into those with/without environmental concerns and into those with long- and short-term policy horizons.

Modified Nanopolystyrene as a Plugging Agent for Oil-Based Drilling Fluids Applied in Shale Formation
Most nanoplugging agents have high surface free energy and tend to aggregate in oil-based drilling fluids (OBMs), failing to plug the nanopores in the formation. This paper introduces the synthesis and application of a surface-modified nanoscale polystyrene (NS) as a plugging agent for OBMs. With oleic acid acting as the surface modifier, the surface free energy of the NS can be effectively reduced, which is a crucial step in enhancing its dispersion stability in mineral oil.

Density and size of lymphoid follicles are useful clues in differentiating primary intestinal follicular lymphoma from intestinal reactive lymphoid hyperplasia
Abstract Background Primary intestinal follicular lymphoma (PI-FL) is a rare and indolent lymphoma and is challenging for diagnosis with endoscopic biopsy specimens. Whole slide imaging (WSI) has been increasingly used for assisting pathologic diagnosis, but not for lymphoma yet, probably because there are usually too many immunostained sections in a single case.
