Looking For Opportunities In REIT Stocks

2019 was a great year for most asset classes, including REIT stocks. The economy is strong, unemployment is the lowest ever, interest rates continue to fall, and with the passing of China and USMC trade deals, the future looks good, although coronavirus is putting a scare into the market. Here is a graph of the 10-year treasury rate over the last 1 year. Rates have dropped, and there is no reason to think a reversal is in sight.

Searching For Value Among Dividend Growth Stocks

The market has moved off the recent highs, but it is still near all-time highs. Once the health scare has subsided and we get back to somewhat normal economic events, there is reason to believe stock prices will continue its march higher. Searching for quality dividend growth stocks to invest in is a challenge; however, one of the areas I focus on are stocks that are currently undervalued based on “current metrics” to “historical average metrics”.

Preferred Stocks And ETD Securities Overview

2019 was a great year for most asset classes, including preferred stocks and baby bonds. The economy is strong and interest rates dropped. Here is a graph of the 10-year treasury rate over the last 1 year. Rates have dropped and there is no reason to think a reversal is in sight. (Source 10 year treasury rate 1-30-2020) As interest rates dropped, prices of preferred stocks and ETD securities increased, which in turn drove the yields lower.
