What was your first job as a journalist?

I was a reporter in Wilmington, Mass. Nothing ever happened there, so I always included all raccoon-related calls in the weekly police log.

Have you ever used a typewriter?

Yeah, though not professionally. I was on a typewriter through high school. I think about getting one now, but that would be obnoxious.

Who's your favorite fictional journalist?

It's hard not to love Michael Keaton as Henry Hacket in The Paper. Or pretty much any other character from The Paper.

When's the best time to pitch you?

I generally work at night, so evening's are the best time for a pitch. Email and via Twitter are your best bets to reach me.
