Somewhere right now, a volunteer conference committee is deciding between “HR Under the Big Top” and “Lights, Camera, HR!” for their HR professional association’s annual event. This means there will either be a logo with a circus tent or a logo with a film reel and a klieg light. There may be costumes. Someone will suggest a photo booth with feather boas and crazy hats, and everyone will agree this is a wonderful idea. I would like to gently ask: what are we doing?
