HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — A bank impersonation scam cost a Henrico man $15,000. He hopes sharing his story will prevent another person from falling victim. It all started with a phone call on May 13, 2026. That is when Ahmed Gabr said he received a call from someone claiming to be from Truist Bank. The caller on the other line told Gabr his account was compromised and they would help him save his account if he followed their steps.
