Give me a non-fiction, even better, quasi academic writing, and I will finish it like I do kababs. But I struggle to read fiction unless I am on a long leave. It happens only once a year, so I have pretty much given up on it. There was a time when I had given up on my PhD research and did not have a job, and finished all of Henning Mankell’s Wallander thrillers in a matter of months. But that is pre-history.
